JOB SUMMARY
The Aftermarket Publications Engineer is a key role that works closely with engineering, production, and aftermarket teams to create and manage technical documentation. This position involves developing clear, accurate materials to support the maintenance, repair, and utilization of our aircraft seating solutions. The Aftermarket Publications Engineer will collaborate with internal teams to ensure technical content meets customer needs and service requirements. This role offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience in technical writing, engineering support, and aftermarket services, with potential for growth in technical publications and engineering operations.
SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES - Essential Functions (Other duties and projects may be assigned or requested.)

- Develop and update comprehensive technical publications, including component maintenance manuals (CMMs), installation guides, service bulletins, and illustrated parts catalogs for business class seats.
- Collaborate with engineering, design, and quality teams to ensure all documentation reflects current product configurations and complies with industry standards (e.g., ATA iSpec 2200, S1000D).
- Create clear, accurate, and user-friendly diagrams, exploded views, and step-by-step instructions to support aftermarket operations.
- Act as the primary engineering liaison for aftermarket engineering/technical inquiries, providing technical guidance to customers regarding repairs, retrofits, and upgrades.
- Work closely with the Aftermarket/Product Support team to address and resolve field issues efficiently, minimizing downtime for operators by participating and/or leading IPT teams to create solutions for airline customers.
- Maintain accurate records of product design changes and their implications for aftermarket services.
- Ensure traceability and version control for all technical publications.
- Collaborate with supply chain, program management, and engineering to develop and maintain spare parts lists.
- Ensure all technical documentation meets aviation industry regulatory standards (e.g., FAA, EASA).
- Stay updated on changes in certification requirements, implementing necessary updates to documentation and processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve documentation processes, tools, and templates to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Gather feedback from internal and external stakeholders to improve the usability and clarity of technical publications.
- Maintain a safe, secure and legal work environment, adhering to all Company policies and procedures.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Protect the confidentiality of the Company’s information and products.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned or requested.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS – Education, Knowledge, and Experience
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical publications, aftermarket engineering, or a related role within the aerospace industry.
- Proficiency in industry-standard technical publication tools (e.g., Adobe FrameMaker, Arbortext, CATIA Composer, AutoCAD).
- Strong understanding of aviation maintenance and repair processes, with familiarity with ATA iSpec 2200 or S1000D standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, emphasizing technical accuracy and clarity.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and 3D models.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working specifically with aircraft seating or cabin interior products.
Skills:
- Effective communications skills, both verbally and written
- Ability to identify and deliver results on time and on budge

Salary Range Transparency: $75,000 - $110,000 annually
