JOB SUMMARY
The Production Team Lead is responsible for supporting repetitive production that mass-produce products of business class, first class, and economy class seats for commercial transport aircraft. The role supervises, teaches, guides, assists, and supports coworkers in the fabrication of parts and/or assemblies that are processed through production. The Production Team Lead must be able to work within the time constraints of the master production schedule and meet requirements dictated by the customer.

- Promote cooperation and positive communication with coworkers
- Act as a mentor to assigned team members in the growth and development of each of them professionally
- Promote teamwork to seek established targets in the way of safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance indicators
- Organize assigned production employees to help complete production units requiring torquing, bonding, riveting, edge sealing, etc.
- Encourage and promote improvements to production in the areas of safety, quality, on time delivery, and cost
- Active in the creation of daily standard work and responsible for the adherence of assigned team members to the developed standard work
- Lead daily meetings with team members reviewing prior day’s “actuals” and today’s “plan”
- Always lead with a “continuous improvement” mentality and promote new ideas from within team members
- Actively works to ensure team members are fully capable in performing the tasks assigned to them and needed to meet production schedule demand
- Can effectively communicate issues on the production line to engineering, planning, or quality as needed
- Ensure work is completed on time to meet company objectives & customer demand
- Maintain safe and effective use of all machine and hand tools in production as well as a safe work environment and is responsible for ensuring a clean and safe work area is maintained
- Understand the concept of utilizing work orders, recording lot numbers and the criticality of traceability
- Ensure work orders and traceability books are maintained and completed as products are processed through the production areas
- Report any defects to quality assurance and/or supervisor, as needed
- Ensure products are built and assembled to the latest revision of released engineering drawings and specifications
- Prepare and organize tools and parts for use in the manufacturing area
- Requisition parts as needed from the stockroom
- Maintain an adequate supply of tools and hardware supplies, as needed
- Work with quality to communicate repetitive quality issues to the production team and works to problem solve the root cause of them
- Work at different workstations as production needs require
- Perform other duties as assigned
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS – Education, Knowledge, and Experience
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required; equivalent years of relative experience or proven mechanical aptitude may be considered in lieu of a diploma or GED
Experience:
- 1 - 3+ years of direct experience
Other:
- Extended or irregular hours may be required.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States. For positions at an ITAR facility, must have U.S. Citizenship or hold Permanent Resident status.

SUPERVISION PROVIDED TO THE POSITION
LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITY
- Has no direct reports, however, the Production Lead is expected to lead improvement and corrective action events and provide guidance to inspection staff.

- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Hourly Rate Transparency: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
