Production Control Specialist

JOB SUMMARY

The Production Control Specialist provides support to the production floor and coordinates with various departments to achieve operational efficiency and meet customer demands. They monitor flow and progress through the production line, working closely with these departments to ensure delivery targets are achieved.

SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES - Essential Functions (Other duties and projects may be assigned or requested.)

  • Plan and schedule TRANSYS seat production according to daily customer requirements.
  • Conduct demand reviews and forecasting to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Adjust seat build schedules and load plans in Syspro based on customer demands.
  • Maintain records of daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly TRANSYS production and shipping results.
  • Report daily production coverage and operational metrics to the HB team.
  • Input data for manual orders, build adjustments, and special build requests accurately.
  • Monitor systems to ensure timely flow of part numbers, customer work orders, kits, and product data.
  • Monitor operational needs and identify shipping requirements on an hourly/daily basis.
  • Communicate promptly with internal customers regarding any issues affecting schedules.
  • Handle and deliver work orders and kit coverage to the production floor.
  • Identify potential shipment delays and notify the Production Control Manager, following escalation procedures if necessary.
  • Meet company goals for on-time delivery and product quality.
  • Participate in Engineering Order (EO) meetings and lead obsolescence events.
  • Engage in physical inventory counts and assist with monthly production closing activities.
  • Follow all safety policies and adhere to the 5S clean philosophy to sustain cleanliness and safety in the workplace.
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and legal work environment, adhering to all state and federal regulations, company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain and protect the confidentiality of the Company’s information and products.
  • Promptly report any breaches, whether they pertain to IT cyber security, infrastructure, or building security, ensuring the safety and integrity of our data and operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS – Education, Knowledge, and Experience

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Associates Degree or an equivalent combination of related education and experience.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience in the aerospace industry or a similar high-precision, regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Production planning and scheduling.
  • Experience managing or leading projects within a production environment.
  • Proficiency with Syspro or similar ERP systems.
  • Inventory management principles.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address production issues.

  • Extended or irregular hours may be required.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

SUPERVISION PROVIDED TO THE POSITION

  • Direction with necessary guidance is provided in terms of tasks and craftsmanship and measured based upon how well tasks have been completed. Receives detailed instructions as needed.

  • Works under general supervision, and no instructions are needed for routine work. Independently determines and develops approaches to solutions

PROBLEM SOLVING

  • Develop and provide solutions to complex problems based on established precedents and are consistent with organization objectives.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

COMPENSATION / BENEFITS
Adient Aerospace offers competitive wages and benefits to recognize employees for their work. The base pay offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, location, experience and take into account internal equity.

Salary Range Transparency: $66,560 - $78,000 per hour
