JOB SUMMARY
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for the coordination and completion of projects. The Electrical Engineer ensures all project elements comply with timelines, budget, and regulations; identifying and resolving issues. The role oversees the work of the Design Engineers to ensure work is in line with customer and regulatory requirements. They ensure effective communication and coordination between all disciplines and other project participants. The Electrical Engineer is also responsible for the engineering and schedule for the program, which includes drawing lists and certification of deliverables.
Note: The primary difference between job levels is tied to skill level, complexity of the problem solving, and year of experience. Job assignments will be based on experience, job opening and budget availability, and the performance level of the incumbent.
SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES - Essential Functions (Other duties and projects may be assigned or requested.)

- Evaluate electrical systems, products, components, and applications by applying aircraft wiring designs and practices while designing aircraft seating systems
- Coordinate with groups such as manufacturing, planning, purchasing, program management, certification, stress engineering, and design engineering to ensure program completion according to safety standards, regulations, and schedule
- Apply engineering principles in the development of products to ensure unit meets specification, regulation, schedule, and budget requirements
- Develop and optimize designs which adhere to performance targets including cost, volume, weight, and quality, as established by management and customer demand. Identify opportunities to optimize components and assemblies whenever possible
- Create 3D models of individual components and assemblies in CATIA. Create and or check 2D drawings of parts, components, sub-assemblies and assemblies as required in CATIA and AUTOCAD
- Research and verify the design criteria and needs per customer as well as based upon regulatory and integrator or OEM requirements
- Ensure designs are optimized for manufacturing and assembly, including and not limited to soliciting observations from fabricators, operators, quality assurance, product support, supply chain specialists, or other disciplines as needed
- Create design proposals, including presentations, and objectively demonstrate the benefits and rationale behind proposed designs. This may include presentations to a variety to groups including other disciplines, and customers
- Prepare drawings, reports and other engineering data required for production, testing and qualification of designed equipment
- Provide technical support to supply chain to address vendor inquiries
- Act as shop liaison during initial production units to solve engineering problems encountered in production and support production personal with manufacturing electrical design
- Monitor project tracking status to ensure projects are completed accurately and timely
- Maintain a safe, secure and legal work environment, adhering to all Company policies and procedures
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Maintain and protect the confidentiality of the Company’s information and products
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned or requested
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS – Education, Knowledge, and Experience
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline is required
Experience: Job assignments will be based on experience, job openings, budget availability, and the performance level of the incumbent
- Level l: 0-2 years of engineering experience
- Level II: 2-5 years of engineering experience
- Level III: 5+ years of engineering experience
Skills:
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of related software including CATIA, AUTOCAD, and PLM
- Proficiency with MS Office applications
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Experience with design and certification of electrical components installed in aircraft interiors

- Level II: Direction is provided in terms of tasks and objectives. Work is reviewed upon completion on how well objectives have been met. Will autonomously work on routine assembly or designs with frequent status updates with supervisor. Will be provided with additional guidance on more complex or non-routine assemblies
- Level III: Direction is provided in terms of tasks and objectives. Work is reviewed upon completion on how well objectives have been met. Will work autonomously on any assembly or design with only occasional status updates with supervisor
LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITY
- None for Level I or II. Senior level may oversee the work of others
- Assist in the training and coaching of project team members as assigned
- Assist in driving the achievement of key initiatives of the project

COMPENSATION / BENEFITS
Adient Aerospace offers competitive wages and benefits to recognize employees for their work. The base pay offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, location, experience and take into account internal equity.
Salary Range Transparency: $80,000 - $110,000 annually
